The Italian forward, boasting 11 goals across 28 international outings, suffered the setback right after netting a goal and setting up another in Tuesdays 2-2 tie against Al Shabab.

Medical checks have verified that Mateo Retegui has suffered a fracture in the lower part of his tibia Al Qadsiah announced on X.
