Luis Enrique urges PSG to dodge Liverpool snare in Champions League return match

Paris Saint-Germain are travelling to Anfield with a 2-0 cushion from the quarter final opening encounter in Paris last week.

Liverpool managed no shots on goal while Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia netted for Luis Enrique's team.

Even after PSG's strong showing at the Parc des Princes and their penalty shootout triumph over Liverpool in the previous seasons round of sixteen, Luis Enrique remains cautious on Merseyside.

Liverpool are known for remarkable European recoveries and they are keen to rescue their challenging campaign by reaching the semi finals in the continents top club tournament.

"You must stay vigilant, there might be hazards and it could turn into a snare," Luis Enrique remarked to journalists on Monday.

"People keep saying, 'you dominated the opener and outperformed the rivals'. That may hold true but situations shift rapidly in football.

"Stay alert, focus on the fine points, prepare thoroughly since you might let in a goal early and keep the contest alive."

Holding a two goal buffer, PSG might be tempted to play conservatively to seal the series.

However Luis Enrique plans to push forward, encouraging his squad to seek the win.

"We will head out aiming to claim the match, as we always have. They will press to find the net but I must make sure my players understand we face challenges ahead, it will not be straightforward," he added.

"The fixture remains competitive, I believe, regardless of the current standings in the aggregate."

PSG must also face the lively Anfield supporters but Luis Enrique trusts his team can cope with the daunting setting.

"We recognise the challenge of competing in a venue like Anfield yet it serves as inspiration since we intend to execute our style, surpass them and secure the result," he noted.
