Liam Rosenior confirms Enzo Fernandez ready for Manchester United encounter

The 25 year old Argentine World Cup champion was left out of the team for the 7 0 victory against League One side Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter finals and the previous weeks 3 0 Premier League loss to second placed Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

Fernandez who had worn the captains armband while injured Reece James was absent had earlier mentioned he would review his future following the World Cup and voiced a wish to reside in Madrid remarks for which he subsequently apologised.

"Enzo has been with the group and has been training very very well," Rosenior stated to journalists on Thursday. "So it is business as usual in terms of selection for the game.

"In terms of his training his application to training Enzo has been fantastic as well."

Rosenior also gave news on defender Trevoh Chalobah who has not featured since the second leg of Chelseas Champions League setback against Paris Saint Germain and on James who has been out since the defeat to Newcastle United back in March.

"Trevoh trained today but not quite fully it was a modified training," Rosenior explained. "We will make a decision on him but he is very very close. Reece is a little bit further away."

Chelsea sit sixth with 48 points four adrift of Liverpool in the Champions League positions after securing just one win from their most recent five Premier League outings. A win against third placed United would aid in narrowing the distance in the battle for a top five finish.

"You focus on what you can control which is our performance," Rosenior noted. "You make sure the attitude the energy and the application to the game is right. I expect a good performance on Saturday."
