Lewandowski cherishes memory of netting inaugural goal at revamped Camp Nou eternally

Robert Lewandowski, the forward for Barcelona, stated that he will eternally treasure the memory of scoring the opening goal at the clubs renovated Camp Nou ground following a convincing 4-0 triumph against Athletic Bilbao in Saturdays La Liga encounter.

The experienced forward struck first just four minutes in, igniting the celebrations for Barcelonas return to their iconic home after over two years of matches elsewhere.

The club had aimed to resume play at Camp Nou a year earlier, yet repeated delays due to building challenges and further complications pushed back the timeline.

"This day held special meaning for everyone, not just me. Thats why Im thrilled to have netted the first goal upon our return to Camp Nou," Lewandowski shared with Barca One.

"With all my time in various arenas, this place feels uniquely remarkable. I take great pride in my effort and the squads performance, as we delivered an excellent showing and secured the victory today.

The result positioned Barcelona on equal footing with Real Madrid atop the La Liga standings, marking a step up from their prior outings.
