Kylian Mbappe '100%' recovered from knee injury ahead of final months of season

The 27-year-old sat out four league matches in 2026 owing to a persistent knee problem from the prior season, yet he entered the pitch as a substitute in the 64th minute during Madrid's 3-2 triumph against Atletico on Sunday.

Mbappe is included in France's lineup for encounters with Brazil on 26 March and Colombia three days after that in the United States, a nation co-hosting the World Cup from 11 June to 19 July alongside Canada and Mexico.

"I am 100% recovered," Mbappe stated to AS.

"For the previous two World Cups, I readied myself in the finest manner by competing, finding the net, claiming honours, and pushing to the very end for my side, and this year I plan to repeat that to reach peak shape."

France is placed in Group I for the World Cup, joined by Norway, Senegal, and the outcome of an intercontinental playoff.
