Juventus confirm manager Luciano Spalletti has signed new two-year contract
Reports indicate that Spalletti will receive five million euros ($5.8 million) annually under the terms of his renewed deal.
"We are delighted to have extended Luciano's contract for a further two seasons," stated Juventus CEO Damien Comolli.
Juve appointed Spalletti in October following the dismissal of Igor Tudor with the task of securing a spot in the Champions League.
"It's important that I tell you first before it becomes official that we have decided to extend my contract for two more years," Spalletti remarked in a video issued by the club featuring him addressing the team.
The 67-year-old has impressed the club most notably for guiding Napoli to the Serie A championship in 2023.
"Since Luciano joined our great Juventus family he has had an immediate and very positive impact on our players the whole club and the entire Bianconeri community," Comolli added.
After a challenging and underwhelming period as Italy's national team coach Spalletti now has Juventus just one point behind fourth position held by Como.
Yet the difference feels like two points given that Como triumphed in both encounters against Juventus this campaign.
