Inter Milan Closes In on Napoli Leaders Roma Set to Challenge

Inter Milan clinched a narrow 2-1 triumph over Verona courtesy of an own goal in stoppage time during Sunday's encounter bringing them level on points minus one with the struggling top side Napoli in Serie A.

The title holders Napoli ground out a goalless stalemate against the emerging outfit Como during their Saturday fixture.

Inter who made it to the Champions League final in the previous campaign stepped onto the field fully aware that securing victory would position them hot on the heels of Napoli.
