'I like what he's doing': Iraola heaps praise on Carrick ahead of Man Utd clash

Bournemouth are hosting Manchester United at the Vitality Stadium in their bid to recover from a 0-0 stalemate away to Burnley, a team fighting to avoid the drop.

This outcome has left Iraola's team with four straight league draws, and they aim to overtake Everton for eighth position in a push for European qualification towards the season's end.

Man Utd arent impossible to beat

Yet with only eight fixtures left, Bournemouth need to secure victories over teams such as United, whom Iraola insists are not unbeatable.

"I wouldnt say impossible (to stop United), but very difficult to think that we can get another clean sheet against United. They are scoring goals for fun lately.

"They continue scoring more or less the same amount of goals (under Michael Carrick), but the improvement has been on the other side.

"They are not conceding goals, but I would say if they are not conceding chances, that is even more difficult."

Iraola is a big fan of Carrick

Michael Carrick, the temporary manager for United, has secured seven wins from his first nine Premier League matches and remains the frontrunner for the permanent role.

The Spanish coach holds great respect for the ex-midfielder, under whom United have climbed to third place in pursuit of a Champions League spot.

"Definitely a top player. And I think we are also seeing as a manager everything that he had as a player, how he understood the game. They always say the best managers are midfielders, and he was one of the best.

"I like what hes doing. I dont know him personally, but I also like how he speaks, how he makes everything about the team, about the players, and I think they are doing fantastically."
