Hogh Excels as Bodo/Glimt Beats Inter in Champions League Clash

Bodo/Glimt sustained their impressive initial Champions League effort by securing a 3-1 win against Inter Milan during the first leg of the knockout playoff round on Wednesday, where Kasper Hogh netted one goal and set up two others.

The Norwegian outfit barely qualified for the knockout phase through surprising triumphs over Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in their concluding pair of league-stage fixtures.

Kjetil Knutsens squad followed suit by including last years runners-up Inter among their notable victories.

Bodos third came merely three minutes afterwards as Patrick Berg lofted a clever pass to Ole Didrik Blomberg who advanced and crossed for Hogh to finish into an unguarded goal.

The Danish forward Hogh has now tallied four times in his most recent three Champions League outings including a brace versus Man City and the decisive strike against Atletico.

Inter pressed hard to reduce the margin but Carlos Augustos effort from eight yards was thwarted by a block marking their best chance amid some final surges.
