High-Flying Norwegian Star Feared Frustrated Swedes Would End His World Cup Dream

Antonia Nusa was in a league of his own as he tore through the Swedish defence and scored for Norway, who achieved an impressive 3-1 victory over Sweden at Ullevaal Stadium. The win boosted their spirits ahead of their journey to the US camp on Tuesday.

However, Nusa's one-man show against the Swedish backline sparked worries within the Norwegian camp that Swedish defenders might retaliate against the flying Norwegian winger. Nusa revealed after the match that there was genuine fear he would be targeted by the frustrated opponents.

"I was a bit frightened. They advised me to be cautious. I need to be careful in the next match," said Antonio Nusa, as reported by VG.

Norwegian national team coach Stale Solbakken noted that "there was a significant gap between the teams for a long stretch of the game." Solbakken added that he believed "the hosts were somewhat 'sloppy' and lacked efficiency during the match. But I'm not going to complain," emphasised the national team coach.

Both teams still have one more friendly fixture before their opening World Cup match. The Swedes will face Greece on Thursday, while Norway take on Morocco on Sunday, ahead of their Group I clashes with Iraq, Senegal, and France.
