'Hes the right man': Amad Diallo believes Man Utd should make Carrick appointment permanent
After stepping in following Ruben Amorims sacking in January, Carrick has led the team to seven victories in 10 outings, suffering only a single loss.
With the ex United and England midfielder at the helm, the Old Trafford side seem set for a Champions League comeback next term, sitting third in the Premier League with seven fixtures left in their season.
"Personally speaking, hes the ideal choice. He brings plenty of know how, understands the club inside out, and embodies its spirit. His rapport with all the players is excellent," the Ivory Coast star Amad shared with journalists on Tuesday.
"Managers like him can elevate the club back to its rightful place. Its not up to the players to choose, yet my genuine view is that were thrilled to have Michael Carrick leading us."
Striker Bryan Mbeumo, who joined from Brentford last season, shared similar views, noting that the United squad has enjoyed a "positive experience" under Carrick.
"He communicates effectively with us, and well aim to absorb everything we can from him. Its smoother because hes familiar with the environment. Working with him has been superb," he remarked.
Manchester United will welcome Leeds in their next Premier League encounter on April 13.
