Harry Maguire lauds Michael Carricks role in revitalising Manchester Uniteds campaign

Manchester United dismissed their prior manager Ruben Amorim back in January following a challenging 14 month tenure marked by difficulties in adapting to his strategies which left the squad grappling. Maguire attributed the resurgence to his replacement Carrick who has rebuilt the teams morale and guided them towards victories once more.

"Upon Michaels arrival we faced two demanding matches and many anticipated trouble against Arsenal and Man City yet we secured both wins for six vital points," Maguire shared with Sky Sports post his assist to Casemiro for the opener versus Brentford.

"The whole group has embraced the approach uniting strongly. Confidence is surging and we realise goals can come from any position."

Sitting third United dominated their opponents sealing a straightforward victory that boosted their tally to 61 points placing them 11 clear of Brighton in sixth with four matches remaining and five spots available for next years Champions League.

Under Carrick United have triumphed in nine of 13 outings setting the stage for re entry into Europes premier club tournament.

"The outcomes tell the tale since the new boss arrived and the setup shifted we have consistently gained points. Earlier under Ruben matches felt evenly poised but we often fell short losing narrowly," Maguire elaborated.

"These days its reversed we are stronger in defence protecting our area more effectively and sharper upfront converting chances decisively."
