Flick calls Raphinhas comeback a major lift for Barcelona in their quest to clinch LaLiga crown
Flicks squad holds an 11 point lead over runners up Real Madrid and could secure back to back La Liga triumphs this weekend by defeating Osasuna on Saturday provided Los Blancos falter against struggling Espanyol on Sunday.
Barca will confront Real Madrid in a Clasico clash on May 10 which might confirm their title retention should they fail to wrap it up over the coming days and they remain poised to potentially equal the historic 100 point benchmark in a Spanish top flight season.
Raphinha picked up a hamstring issue while representing Brazil back in March keeping him out as Barcelona exited the Champions League against Atletico Madrid in the last eight but he is now ready to rejoin the push for silverware.
"Rapha delivers full commitment whether on the field or during sessions," Flick shared with the press.
"His drive and approach are consistently at maximum and that supports us greatly. This term he endured setbacks from injury so his return feels vital for the group.
"He joins the trip and we will assess his involvement for tomorrows fixture. It benefits the squad immensely to regain him as one of our leaders who brings positivity and the qualities we require."
Barca must cope without young sensation Lamine Yamal sidelined by injury with Flick noting the 18 year olds progress from his hamstring setback which rules him out for the campaigns close.
"Hes progressing nicely so the recovery is on track and I believe hell feature at the World Cup," Flick remarked.
"Theres ample time for him to heal and return. Thats his goal too."
Should Barca triumph in their last five domestic outings they would hit the 100 point milestone originally achieved by Jose Mourinhos Real Madrid in 2012 and replicated by Tito Vilanovas Barcelona team in 2013.
"Our attention is solely on the upcoming fixture though naturally we aim to prevail in all remaining contests," Flick stated.
"Ideally we take maximum from each but we face challenging foes. Each game demands our peak performance learning from it for what follows including preparations.
"Thats our ethos our mindset our resolve."
