FC Copenhagen Fans Start Boycott of McDonalds Outlet Inside Parken Stadium
FC Copenhagen intends to construct a McDonalds outlet in the Parken stadium this summer in the space between the B and C stands.
This move has upset Sektion 12, the supporters group located in the B stand who handle the home sides chants and create the matchday vibe.
Sektion 12 posted on their Instagram that PS and E, the parent firm of FC Copenhagen, prioritises a single extra coin over nurturing a vibrant supporter base.
The spot between the B and C stands has long served as a fixed gathering point before and after games, where fans could get energised, connect, exchange stories, and finish the night with one final drink.
That is now giving way to an international quick service chain that bears no ties to the city.
The choice reveals everything: Earnings matter more than the supporters. Rather than enhancing the stadium atmosphere and game days, the leadership opts for immediate gains once more, states Sektion 12, urging a shun of the McDonalds at Parken.
By the close of 2025, Denmark hosts 121 McDonalds outlets. The chain moves around 80 million burgers annually in the country.
