Experienced Suarez pens fresh Inter Miami deal
The Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez has agreed to a new deal with Inter Miami ahead of the next season, as announced by the Major League Soccer club on Wednesday.
Suarez, set to reach 39 years old in January, first linked up with Lionel Messis team in 2024 and then played a key role in securing the 2025 MLS Cup along with the Eastern Conference championship.
During his career in Europe with Barcelona, Liverpool, and Atletico Madrid, the forward lifted the Champions League trophy, La Liga title, and the League Cup.
Inter Miami noted that Suarez has inked a fresh contract following the end of the remarkable 2025 campaign, marking his second year with the team.
The clubs vast experience and guiding presence proved essential in capturing the third and fourth trophies through the Eastern Conference Championship victory and the MLS Cup triumph, plus strong showings abroad with a notable advance to the last 16 in the updated 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and a semifinal spot in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.
In total, Suarez featured in 50 matches across various tournaments during 2025, netting 17 goals and providing 17 assists to contribute to 34 goals overall, the club stated.
