Ex Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey charged with two additional rape counts

Thomas Partey, the former Arsenal midfielder, has been accused of two more instances of rape.

Currently aged 32 and playing for Villarreal in Spain, he is scheduled to attend Westminster Magistrates Court on 13 March for these accusations, involving one complainant from 2020.

The police received the report of this alleged incident in August 2025.

During September, at Southwark Crown Court, Partey pleaded not guilty to five rape allegations concerning two women, plus one sexual assault claim related to a third individual.

These earlier accusations occurred from 2021 through 2022, while he was with Arsenal.

The Ghanaian player is set for trial beginning 2 November.

In 2020, Partey moved to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid for a fee estimated at £45 million ($61 million).

He departed the London team in June of the previous year, having featured in 167 matches.

Boasting more than 50 international appearances for Ghana, Partey remains a potential selection for this years World Cup.
