Eta Secures First Triumph with Union Berlin as Bundesliga Trailblazer for Women Coaches

Eta, who faced abusive remarks on social platforms upon her selection, assumed the role of temporary head coach in April after Steffen Baumgart's removal. She will steer the club through the close of the current term prior to transitioning to the ladies' squad in the upcoming year.

Union suffered successive losses in her opening pair of fixtures, but managed a draw versus Koln earlier this month. Speaking to DAZN, Eta shared her elation at clinching a success on her fourth outing.

"It has all been about performing the role to the best of our ability, accumulating points, securing victories, and that is precisely what we have strived for daily," she remarked.

"You feel joy, you aim to claim wins. That holds true every time, including today. The manner in which it unfolded was superb, the way we turned it around.

"We have poured in substantial effort. Thus, it is wonderful that we managed to claim those three points right here today, while delivering a solid display," Eta added.

"That matters a great deal to me personally."

Union will confront Augsburg on Saturday for their concluding fixture of the term.
