Eriksen unwilling to retire from international duty: Aims to secure Denmark spot at EURO 2028
Christian Eriksen is eager to keep featuring for the Denmark national side, with his sights set on helping them reach the 2028 European Championship, according to a Viaplay interview.
"I continue to see myself as an important member of the team. Sure, the path ahead is unpredictable, but getting to EURO 2028 remains a clear objective for me."
Eriksen admits he has pondered the idea of ending his international involvement.
"Occasionally, such ideas cross your mind. However, you remind yourself of the joy in representing Denmark, and if selected for the squad, you would likely seize the chance."
"Time will tell where things stand, and I intend to speak with head coach Brian Riemer eventually to learn his perspective," Eriksen notes, adding that he would be ready to play if chosen by Riemer.
Eriksen holds the record of 149 appearances for Denmark.
