Two children of Diogo Jota served as mascots at Anfield during Saturdays match where Liverpool and Wolves remembered the ex forward.

Jota moved from Wolves to Liverpool in 2020 before tragically dying in a car crash in July.

During their initial encounter following his passing fans from both teams showed homage with a special chant for Jota at the 20th minute mark.

His sons Dinis and Duarte along with relatives acted as mascots and his spouse Rute Cardoso attended the event.

Liverpool has withdrawn the number 20 jersey that Jota wore and discussions are underway for a lasting tribute to the Portuguese star and his sibling Andre Silva who perished in the same incident at Anfield.
