Arsenal secured their spot in this seasons Champions League final after a gritty victory against the LaLiga outfit Atletico Madrid.

Clearly moved by the atmosphere before kick off and the vibrant mood within the arena, the English midfielder shared with the clubs media: I cannot put it into words really.

This has been building towards this evening at the Emirates overall, and I reckon it ranks as the finest night I have seen there, topping even last years clash with Real Madrid.

Right from when we pulled up today, the bus came to a halt and we were like, what is happening.

Typically we just head straight through, but then all of a sudden there were the flares, the supporters, and the chills running through the squad as we gazed outside, it was simply phenomenal.

I have never witnessed the Emirates in that state, so a massive shout out to the fans as we truly required that lift. Plus when we stepped inside, you could sense the buzz from the entire crowd.

Even when you feel drained, it injects that vital surge to persist, and I am convinced they contributed hugely to our success this evening.
