Danish champions AGF to host fierce rivals Brondby in season opener
AGF, the Danish champions, will welcome Brondby IF in the opening round of the upcoming Danish Superliga season. The fixture takes place in Aarhus on Saturday, 25 July, with much attention on former AGF skipper Patrick Mortensen, who recently transferred to Brondby.
Viborg will take on OB in the season's first match, scheduled for Friday, 24 July.
Sunday, 26 July, sees FC Midtjylland travelling to Sonderjyske, followed by Randers versus Silkeborg, and later in the day AC Horsens hosting FC Nordsjaelland.
FC Copenhagen will be at home against Lyngby on Monday, 27 July in the opening round.
The first big capital derby between Brondby and FC Copenhagen is scheduled for Round 9. Currently, only the first seven rounds have been confirmed because other matches depend on UEFA draws.
After Round 22, the season splits into Championship and Relegation playoffs, with AGF travelling to face FC Midtjylland.
