Cristiano Ronaldo nets brace on comeback as Al Nassr demolish Al Najma in five-goal rout

The Portuguese star, absent from action since February, skipped Al Nassrs last two league fixtures and was unavailable for Portugals recent friendly encounters with Mexico and the United States.

Al Najma, managing just a single victory in their 27 league outings, stunned the crowd by going ahead moments before the interval courtesy of Rakan Al Tulayhis effort.

Al Nassr hit back immediately, as Abdullah Al Hamdan and Sadio Mane found the net during added time in the opening half to flip the script.

The hosts equalised shortly after the break through Felippe Cardosos strike, yet Al Nassr took charge again when Ronaldo slotted home a spot-kick in the 56th minute.

The veteran forward claimed his brace in the 73rd minute, with Mane capping off the victory via a goal in stoppage time at the end.

Al Nassrs streak of 13 straight league triumphs maintained their lead at the summit with 70 points, holding a six-point advantage over runners-up Al Hilal ahead of their weekend clash against Al Taawoun.
