Bellingham and Mbappe set for Atletico match, says Real Madrid coach Arbeloa

Bellingham, aged 22, has been absent for 10 games following an injury picked up in February. Mbappe, 27, came back as a substitute in the second half during Real's 2-1 Champions League last-16 second-leg win against Manchester City on Tuesday.

"Bellingham is ready now; he will be part of the squad tomorrow. We will decide if he starts - I believe he will. I am truly excited to watch him out there," Arbeloa shared with journalists before the game at the Bernabeu.

Real, in second place, trail Barcelona by four points after 28 fixtures, with Atletico sitting fourth.

When questioned if Mbappe, who tops LaLiga's scoring charts this season with 23 goals, was fully fit after his left knee injury or still playing through pain for the side's sake, Arbeloa was clear.

"When he comes back, it means he is at 100%. The moments we witnessed in Manchester, every move proved he is in top form," he explained.

"Most importantly, it is about his sensations - that is the key factor. How he felt then and how he feels now in sessions. Full trust, full certainty, and full thrill to welcome back a player who can transform games."

Bellingham earned a spot on Friday in England coach Thomas Tuchel's 35-man selection for upcoming friendlies versus Uruguay and Japan, as World Cup preparations progress.

Mbappe made France's lineup for matches against Brazil and Colombia.

"They are vital players for me, yet equally crucial for their international coaches, particularly with the World Cup approaching," Arbeloa noted.

"I have had the fortune to play for my nation and I understand the emotions involved - the honour and the duty. I get the context completely, so no issues whatsoever."
