Bayern young talent Karl out for indefinite period due to thigh muscle injury
The 18 year old has experienced a swift ascent this campaign and stands as a strong candidate for inclusion in Germanys World Cup team in May. The midfielder has netted five goals and supplied four assists in the Bundesliga by itself.
Lennart Karl has suffered a tear in a muscle in his right rear thigh. The FC Bayern medical team has verified the diagnosis the club announced. This injury will keep the 18 year old attacking midfielder out for an indefinite period.
Bayern hold a nine point advantage at the Bundesliga summit with six fixtures remaining before they journey to St Pauli this Saturday.
Following that they welcome Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter final return leg next week after the German teams 2 1 triumph in Spain on Tuesday. Karl sat unused on the bench during that encounter.
Bayern will also confront Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup semi final on 22 April.
