Kane sat out Saturdays thrilling 3-2 Bundesliga comeback victory away at Freiburg marking the fifth game the England skipper has skipped in his last seven outings for club and international duty.

The 32 year old also missed both of Englands March friendlies with manager Thomas Tuchel describing the issue as just a minor one.

Bayern who have lifted the Champions League trophy six times are tipped as frontrunners in the tournament though they havent defeated Real Madrid since 2012.

Although Kane has dealt with ankle problems in the past reports in the German press suggested he was given a rest for the Freiburg fixture ahead of the Madrid showdown.

Discussing Kanes potential return Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich said to the press: "He'd play in a wheelchair. I expect him to be fit on Tuesday."

"The physios are working on it. He's been at the training ground constantly, receiving treatment. We believe that it'll work," explained Bayern sporting director Max Eberl to journalists following Saturdays result.

"I'm generally a positive person," Eberl continued.

Bayern manager Vincent Kompany stated post match: "I have a feeling he'll make it."

With Bayern cruising towards yet another Bundesliga crown and advancing to the German Cup semifinals Kane remains vital to their Champions League ambitions.

Post game Kane shared a social media video praising his squad mates on the win stating: "Wow, what a comeback. Credit to the boys, that wasn't easy -- what mentality, what a win (and) a great away three points."
