Bayern know how to 'hurt' PSG, says Neuer

Experienced goalkeeper Manuel Neuer believes Bayern Munich understand how to cause problems for Paris Saint-Germain ahead of their Champions League encounter away at the French side on Tuesday.

Although PSG claimed the Champions League trophy last season by defeating Inter Milan 5-0 at Bayern's Allianz Arena, the German powerhouse heads to the Parc des Princes on an astonishing run of success.

Bayern have triumphed in every one of their 15 fixtures across all competitions this term, establishing a new benchmark for the strongest opening in any of Europe's premier five leagues.

The 39-year-old skipper stated that his team approaches the French title winners without trepidation, noting: "We enjoy facing PSG and our aim is victory."

As a double Champions League victor with Bayern, Neuer indicated that the away team possesses a defined strategy to unsettle PSG.

"Both squads prefer possession, a fact everyone recognises, and we might not relish defensive duties overly," he remarked.

"Chances for quick breaks will arise without doubt. Staying alert is essential, along with maintaining solid defensive organisation against such rapid and powerful rivals.

"In precisely that manner, we intend to trouble the Parisians."

Central to Bayern's remarkable campaign is the outstanding contribution from England's Harry Kane.

Kane boasts 22 goals during Bayern's 15 consecutive victories, yet he has also taken on more involvement in linking play, retreating to assist in possession construction.

Bayern's manager Vincent Kompany explained to the press that Kane's grasp of his position has progressed this year.

"We blend elements to allow him to excel at his strengths, while positioning him ideally for goal threats," the Belgian commented.

"With vast know-how and keen game sense, Harry retains much the same duties as before, though he has refined his perspective on them."
