Armed Break-In Targets FC Porto Star Jan Bednarek at His Family House

Jan Bednarek, the defender for FC Porto and a key player for Poland, got back to his residence with his wife and small daughter at about 9:30pm following a visit to an art exhibition, only to find what appears to be a burglar already inside the building.

Portuguese news source Record states that the intruder pointed a knife at Bednarek and then ran away from the location.

Accounts suggest the thief took possessions valued at roughly €150,000 (£129,000), which has left the relatives quite distressed from the ordeal. Officials in the area have started looking into the case of this violent theft.

This scary situation happened only a few days after Bednarek marked an important success during a match, by kicking the match-winning goal in Porto's 1-0 win against Alverca, thus gaining the squad's first championship title in the league after four years.
