Arbeloa supports five key Real Madrid players he always prefers to field
Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa stated on Saturday that he would continue to rely on the squads leading talents and ensure they receive maximum playing time, even amid discussions about the teams ability to maintain equilibrium with all of them starting.
Los Blancos suffered a loss to Benfica in the Champions League on Wednesday, which saw them fall into the playoff stage, and they have occasionally faced challenges in achieving balance when several of their forward options are deployed simultaneously.
Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Junior have featured in every one of the past four matches under Arbeloa, alongside goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, while midfielder Fede Valverde has begun all four and been replaced just once.
"I always aim to field the top talents, and the greater the availability they offer the squad in terms of minutes, the more beneficial it is for us," Arbeloa remarked during a press conference, responding to queries on whether those five were considered essential starters.
"These individuals possess the capability to influence a game decisively at any point. Naturally, those outside the Madrid fanbase may prefer them sidelined, yet I am certain that the clubs supporters desire their premier performers to be consistently ready and actively participating.
"In my view, the five in question rank among the elite ten globally, earning my complete confidence. And it extends beyond mere faith, their on,field contributions are what secure their spots."
Real Madrid will welcome Rayo Vallecano at home on Sunday in La Liga, aiming to recover from the Benfica setback and challenge the pacesetting Barcelona.
The French sensation Mbappe highlighted the squads lack of steadiness, and Arbeloa noted that efforts are underway to address this concern.
"We are focused on achieving the reliability we seek across all aspects of play, and currently, it is neither an occasion for dismay nor excessive excitement," Arbeloa explained.
"It is simply a period for diligent effort, and nothing else."
