Arbeloa confirms Tchouameni availability for Clasico and criticises team locker room information leak

The Uruguayan skipper received medical attention in hospital for a head wound and faces up to two weeks sidelined during recovery, following an altercation between the pair at the close of Thursdays training session.

Real Madrid issued fines to the French midfielder Tchouameni and Valverde on Friday, stating that the duo had reconciled with one another and extended apologies to the club, supporters, personnel, and fellow squad members.

Should Real Madrid lose to Barcelona, the Catalan outfit will secure the Spanish title for back to back years.

"Tchouameni joins the squad tomorrow," Arbeloa informed journalists regarding the internationals readiness for the Camp Nou Clasico clash.

Arbeloa, stepping in for Xabi Alonso back in January amid a challenging campaign for Madrid, indicated he had received and accepted the apologies from both involved parties.

"I take great pride in the clubs prompt, decisive, and open handling of the matter, along with the players recognition of their error, their expressions of remorse, acceptance of repercussions for their actions, and requests for pardon," Arbeloa remarked.

"That suffices for me. I refuse to publicly condemn them harshly, as they merit no such treatment, given their demonstrations over these past four months and throughout the years.

"They have proven their grasp of representing Real Madrid, their dedication, hard work, affection for the jersey, and I shall not overlook that."

'Locker room matters must remain private'

Arbeloa expressed greater concern over the disclosure of the disagreement to the press by an insider.

"Revealing internal locker room incidents strikes me as disloyalty to Real Madrid and its emblem," the manager stated.

Arbeloa experienced a similar event at Liverpool in 2007, when Welsh forward Craig Bellamy struck team mate John Arne Riise using a golf club.

Shortly after, Bellamy mimicked a golf swing in celebration of his goal versus Barcelona at Camp Nou during the Champions League.

"I once saw a colleague strike another with a golf club," Arbeloa recalled.

"What pains me deepest is the principle that Real Madrid locker room events belong solely within those walls.

"Incidents unbefitting Real Madrid or any team, disputes among players that ought not occur, arise everywhere and always, yet I offer no excuse for them."

Arbeloa noted the considerable pressure on the squad at Real Madrid, especially approaching a potential trophyless campaign for the second year running.
