Andoni Iraola Arrives at Anfield Ahead of Expected Appointment as New Liverpool Boss

The 43 year old flew into the city's John Lennon Airport in a private jet from San Sebastian in Spain and was taken away in a silver people carrier shortly afterwards.

Iraola is believed to have agreed a two year deal to succeed Slot, who was dismissed last Saturday after a disappointing Premier League title defence.

The Spaniard was quickly pinpointed as the club's main target and talks have moved quickly as he had already agreed to leave Bournemouth at the end of this season.

Iraola is expected to bring a more urgent, aggressive style of football, which defined the team under much loved former manager Jurgen Klopp.

He earned high praise for Bournemouth's sixth place finish in the Premier League this season, which earned European qualification for the first time in the club's history.
