Alexia Putellas nets another goal to steer Spain into UEFA women's Nations League final

Alexia Putellas, the two-time Ballon d'Or recipient, found the net once more on Tuesday, confirming that Spain can defend their UEFA Women's Nations League championship against the winner of the France-Germany semi-final clash.

Having scored four times against Sweden during the opening fixture of the semi-final tie, Spain clinched a narrow 1-0 win in Gothenburg, sealing their progression with a commanding 5-0 aggregate scoreline.

The final, contested over two legs, is set for November 28 and December 2.

Putellas, who had notched a brace in the initial encounter, converted in the 74th minute via Spain's mere second effort on goal, all while maintaining control of the ball throughout.

With composure, she directed the ball into the upper corner using a refined first-time effort, following a shrewd pass from Claudia Pina, who had been set up by Aitana Bonmati.
