AC Milan reportedly keen to appoint departing Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola

Iraola recently guided Bournemouth to their first ever European qualification, with a 1-1 result against Nottingham Forest on the season's final day securing their place in the Europa League.

However, the Spanish coach will not remain at Vitality Stadium to build on this achievement, having announced his exit when his current deal concludes in June.

AC Milan have initiated contact with Iraola's agents regarding a potential appointment, facing competition from Crystal Palace who have pursued the 43 year old manager for several weeks.

Matteo Moretto reports that Milan currently lead the race to name him as their next head coach following productive talks held in London last week.

This initial in person meeting between the club and manager could prove decisive in determining his next career move, despite his stated preference to continue working in England's top division.
