AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus set for pre-season matches in Perth

Serie A was negotiating to host a match between AC Milan and Como in Perth during February, but the plans were scrapped in December because of restrictions set by the Asian Football Confederation.

That fixture would have marked the debut of a prominent European domestic league game held beyond its national borders.

AC Milan will face Inter Milan on 5 August, followed by Inter Milans encounter with Juventus three days afterwards, and Juventus taking on Serie B team Palermo on 11 August.

Western Australia Tourism Minister Reece Whitby stated that these matches will provide a significant lift to the tourism industry.

"We are regularly observing the beneficial effects that such large scale events bring to our areas, enhancing our tourism industry, aiding local employment and enterprises, and broadening Western Australias economic base," Whitby commented on Thursday.
