History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage

The Turkish Cup (Türkiye Kupası) is a men's football cup competition held annually in Turkey. It was established in 1962 and is run by the Turkish Football Federation.

Over 100 teams from the top four leagues of the Turkish football league system and the Turkish Regional Amateur League compete in the tournament. The ultimate champion earns a spot in Europe — either the UEFA Europa League or UEFA Europa Conference League, not the UEFA Champions League. The winner also competes against the Süper Lig champions in the following season's Turkish Super Cup.
