History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage

The Caribbean Club Championship, also known as the CFU Club Championship, is an annual international competition held for clubs that are members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). This tournament was founded in 1997, with Jamaican club Montego Bay United -- know then as Seba United -- winning the inaugural title. The competition acts as the qualifying tournament for the CONCACAF Champions League, with the CFU Club Championship winners earning tickets to the continental club football tournament.
