Guinea Bissau forward Franculino returns to the pitch for Midtjylland following extended injury absence

Franculino received 30 minutes of playing time upon his comeback on Tuesday since enduring a prolonged injury layoff during a preseason encounter against Silkeborg and the manager Mike Tullberg expressed satisfaction afterwards.

"Francu featured for half an hour following four months out and that was excellent. It was encouraging to observe his fitness level. Naturally he is not yet at his pre injury form yet he progressed more than anticipated. He contributed to a couple of opportunities so I felt very satisfied" Mike Tullberg remarked to bold dot dk post game.

Until now he has featured in 72 outings in the Danish Superliga with FC Midtjylland since joining during the summer of 2023. He has netted 38 goals in Denmarks premier division. He aims to increase his goal tally this term.

"I constantly aim to find the net and I target reaching 100 goals. I will hold back the strikes until Saturday. Assuming I receive 45 minutes" he commented to TV2 Sport following the fixture.

Franculino is anticipated to start from the substitutes bench as FC Midtjylland faces Sonderjyske this Saturday in a vital clash within their tight contest alongside AGF for the Danish championship.
