Franculino getting injured cost us the Danish title says Midtjylland sport director

The Superliga top goalscorer, Franculino, sustained an injury in December last year and was sidelined for most of the spring. That injury proved detrimental to FC Midtjylland's championship hopes, according to the club's sports director Kristian Bach Bak in a podcast with fan media "Sort Snak".
"This injury was a setback for everyone, especially Franculino himself. While it's unfortunate for him, had we had 'Francu' at his peak form throughout the season, we likely would have secured another title", stated Bach Bak.
FC Midtjylland ended the season as runners-up to AGF in the Danish league but triumphed in the Danish Cup final against FC Copenhagen.
