Ex England boss Roy Hodgson takes up temporary role at Bristol City until end of campaign

Hodgson had earlier overseen Bristol back in 1982 during his initial role with an English team.

The 78 year old who most recently handled Crystal Palace also guided Inter Milan to the UEFA Cup showpiece in 1996 97 and steered Fulham into the Europa League final during 2009 10.

Bristol hold a 12 point cushion over the drop zone heading into their final seven fixtures in the Championship although they have failed to secure a victory since the previous month following their FA Cup exit against League One outfit Port Vale.

Roy coming on board goes beyond just the outcomes from the upcoming seven outings. Across the rest of the term he shall assist in establishing the expectations and principles at the club essential for future achievements said Bristol CEO Charlie Boss in an official release.

Bristol are due to meet Charlton Athletic on April 3rd next.
