Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie teams outlaid 66 million euros in agent commissions for 2024/25, with Ajax taking one third

Ajax allocated €21,411,506 for agent commissions over the 2024/25 period, representing close to one third of the €66,966,491 (excluding taxes) disbursed by teams across the Dutch Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie.

Ajax executed 23 deals in the 2024/25 season, encompassing 9 outgoing transfers that brought in €69,24 million.

Trailing Ajax are PSV at €13,854,606 and Feyenoord at €13,745,000, while AZ with €5,396,684 and Heerenveen with €2,060,000 stand as the sole other Dutch outfits exceeding €1.4 million in agent outlays.

Within the second division, Willem II and Almere City, entities that competed in the Eredivisie during 24/25, top the agent spending charts. Excelsior dominated with €469,414, more than twice the €245,549 recorded by runners-up Cambuur Leeuwarden.

Telstar secured elevation to the Eredivisie through play-offs despite the third-lowest agent expenditure in the Eerste Divisie, amounting to €47,510.

Since the rollout of FIFA's Football Agent Regulations (FFAR), the KNVB has operated a directory of FA-registered football agents from 1 October 2023. Teams must report agent payments, which the KNVB then releases publicly.
