AC Milan post third straight annual profit on day of San Siro purchase

AC Milan announced on Wednesday a profit amounting to three million euros (3.4 million dollars) for the 2024/25 season, coinciding with the finalisation of their purchase of the San Siro stadium in partnership with rivals Inter Milan.

The Serie A powerhouse has maintained positive accounts for the third year in a row, yet this figure represents a reduction of 1.1 million euros compared to the previous seasons earnings.

This decline happened even though the club achieved its highest ever revenues of 494.5 million euros by the end of June 2025.

The clubs finances face challenges this season owing to the absence of European competitions after a disappointing performance during the 2024/25 campaign.

Massimiliano Allegri assumed the managerial role at Milan during the summer, and his team now occupies third position in Serie A, trailing the top placed Napoli by just one point.

Both Milan and Inter found reasons to celebrate on Wednesday following the acquisition of the land beneath the San Siro from the city authorities.

These two storied clubs, who have secured a combined total of 10 European titles, are now able to advance with an ambitious 1.2 billion euro initiative that will transform an area spanning more than 28 hectares (70 acres), acquired for 197 million euros.

Inter had revealed profits of 35.4 million euros not long before the city of Milan approved the transaction in late September.
