Über Omani League
Geschichte, Format, Organisation, Medienberichterstattung
Die Omanische Profiliga, früher bekannt als Omantel Elite League, ist die höchste Spielklasse im omanischen Fußball. Gegründet im Jahr 1976, wurde die Liga erst im September 2013 professionell, was zur Umbenennung führte. Die Liga folgt einem Doppelrundenformat, bei dem jedes Team in einer Saison zweimal gegen jede andere Mannschaft antritt. Die höchste Spielklasse in Oman arbeitet mit einem Auf- und Abstiegssystem, bei dem die schlechtesten Teams in die Omani First Division League, die zweithöchste Liga des Landes, absteigen.
